Who Is Teaching This Course?
Dorothea Pritchett, or Dort, as most refer to her, began her energy healing journey in the mid 1980’s as a path to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. She has continued to use various energy healing modalities to support her own healing, and the healing of others. In 1990 she created Women Empowering Women to support women in recovery from addiction and childhood trauma through workshops, retreats, ceremony, Soul Breath, and support circles. 30+ years later she continues to support others through Reiki, Family & Systems Constellation as Ceremony, Sound Healing, KunYin, Shamanic practices, Structural Integration, Ho’oponopono, and massage therapy. How do I get certified?
All you need to do it take the certification test and pass with 80% or better. You may take the test as many times as you need.
Can I use this certification for continuing education credits?
It depends on the organization. So far it's been confirmed that students have used this certification for credit at Yoga Alliance. Life Changing Energy is an approved PDA provider for NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). These hours may be used for the purpose of ICF credential renewal in the area of Resource Development as well. For all others, please check with any other specific organization you want credits from --they all have different rules for what is accepted.
Are there prerequisites for learning Reiki?
No, there are no prerequisites for learning Reiki. Anyone can embark on the Reiki journey, regardless of their background, age, or prior experience with energy work. The foundational level of Reiki (Level 1) is open to all and is designed to introduce you to the principles and basic practices of Reiki. As you progress to more advanced levels, the only requirement is the successful completion of the previous level(s)
Is Reiki against my religion?
Reiki is a spiritual healing practice, not associated with any specific religion. It is centered on the concept of universal life energy. Many people from various religious backgrounds practice and benefit from Reiki without conflict with their religious beliefs.
I've taken some Reiki elsewhere. Can I just do some of the levels?
